About Erin Morgenstern

Erin Morgenstern is the author of The Night Circus, a fantastical novel following the impossible love of two magicians. The Night Circus has been recognized with the 2012 Alex Award and Locus Award, and has spent seven weeks on The New York Times Bestseller List.

Morgenstern mesmerizes crowds with tale of the “Cirques de Rêves,” on which her debut novel, The Night Circus, is based. Her unique creativity and boundless imagination makes her a favorite for community reads, book-clubs, and libraries.

In addition to her writing and speaking, Morgenstern also paints and blogs. She graduated from Smith College with a degree in theater and studio art. She also writes “Flax-golden tales” — 10 sentence short fiction based on photographs, which she posts every Friday on her website, www.erinmorgenstern.com.
